Green ICT supports the production of inverter battery banks and automation systems in Estonia

Olsson Green, in cooperation with Tech Group, is developing the production of inverter battery banks and automation systems in Estonia, the aim of which is to increase the efficiency of renewable energy and save fossil fuels and electricity.

Olsson Green is part of the Olsson & Nielsen Nordic group, focusing on various development projects in the renewable energy sector. Today, the Olsson Group operates 26 solar power plants and the group’s total annual electricity production volume is approaching 4GWh.

The volume of investments related to the new product development is planned to be over 3 million euros, and since this is a product development with a significant positive green impact, Enterprise Estonia decided to support the project with nearly 700,000 euros within the Estonian-Norwegian cooperation program “Green ICT”. According to the basic document of the program, its aim is to support the sustainable development of Estonian entrepreneurs, and it also supports the development of resource-efficient solutions and the introduction of innovative green technologies.

The support will be used to develop prototype equipment and carry out thorough testing and certification in the public electricity grid.

Haap Consulting has focused on preparing funding applications both in Estonia and abroad. Haap Consulting participates in this project as a consultant and still plays an important role in compiling and managing the documentation of the Green ICT project.
