We helped DriveX and TalTech secure almost 900 thousand euros from the applied research funding round

DriveX is an Estonian deep tech company that develops an AI-based robot for vehicle damage handling. Initially, the company focuses on the visual detection of windshield damages, aiming to provide a full service for detecting windshield damages to insurance companies, damage handling companies, and glass repair companies. DriveX’s goal is for the company’s algorithms to be able to analyze image quality, identify the outlines of the windshield and its components, the locations and sizes of damages, and the areas that can be repaired. The algorithms must also be able to make an immediate and accurate decision on whether to repair or replace the windshield, according to technical requirements. DriveX has been highlighted in Dealroom.com’s 2024 European deep tech review (for the second consecutive year) as one of the most promising deep tech companies in the Baltics.

DriveX aimed to further improve the precision of its technology in cooperation with TalTech and to create better conditions for scaling its technology. DriveX has a firm goal to achieve a unique market leader position in the niche of glass damage detection.

To achieve this, they wished to apply for support from the large projects in applied research funding round. DriveX has previously collaborated with Haap Consulting, including helping the DriveX team apply for support from the small projects in applied research funding round, which was the basis for the current project.

Haap Consulting assisted DriveX and TalTech in the large projects application round with project planning and related appendices such as financial forecasts and budget preparation, and also helped answer questions that arose during the application process.

Our collaboration was successful, and the efficient project between DriveX and TalTech received nearly 900 thousand euros in support from EIS.

We wish all parties success in implementing the project and look forward to hearing from them again in the future.

If you are interested in applying for support from EIS or Europe, feel free to write to us at info@haap.ee.
