Our subsidiary Enefit Power is building a new electrode boiler at the Auvere industrial complex to make steam production more flexible and cost-efficient while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The boiler will allow steam to be produced with electricity when market conditions make it more economical, reducing the need for fossil fuel-based production and helping cut GHG emissions by tens of thousands of tonnes.
Finnish company CT Industrial will deliver the project, with completion expected in early 2028. The total investment is €7.7 million, including €1.7 million in support administered by the Estonian Environmental Investment Centre. HAAP Consulting OÜ supported Enefit Power in preparing the funding application and GHG emissions calculations.
